First time in the area? Here are some things to check out from Ancaster to Burlington. It's the long weekend after all!
JC’s Bagels
Woke up on Saturday in need of carbs? Carleigh has been grabbing bagels from this Burlington institution since she was just a year old. They give Ottawa’s famous Kettleman’s a run for their money. Order the Western on a whole wheat honey with extra ketchup.
The Burnt Tongue
If it were up to Carleigh, these folks would be in charge of catering. This ideal lunch spot has two locations both within 15-minute drives of The Ancaster Mill and produce the best soups and grilled cheeses. Try the dill pickle fries. Trust.
Downtown Burlington
If you find yourself on a visit to Carleigh’s parent’s place, you’re a 10-minute walk from Burlington’s waterfront. Downtown Burlington has lots to offer in terms of boutiques and restaurants along Brant Street or in the Village Square. If you’re curious about where Carleigh and Bayley took their engagement photos —or just want a quick food tour — start at The Poacher for a quick drink, wander to Lugano Pizza for a roadside slice, turn the corner for a cone at RC’s, and then walk down to the water behind the Pearle Hotel.
Royal Botanical Gardens - Rock Garden
Want to see a wedding venue that they didn't choose? The RBG Rock Garden is home to picturesque walking paths, seasonal florals, and a waterfall.
